TSFAT AIR CHAIR PROJECT is a transport operation being developed for the city of Tzfat for use primarily for tourist sight-seeing and also for local residents for inner city transportation with stops from the Central Bus Station to the Ari Mikva.

A chairlift is a type of aerial lift, which consists of a constantly moving loop of steel cable strung between two end terminals and generally over intermediate towers. Chairlifts are ubiquitous at ski areas and can also be found at amusement parks and various tourist attractions.

Many different styles of ChairsLifts exist and today the technological availabilities are greater than ever. But generally they come under the same definition being; chairs and in our case enclosed cubicles with large openable windows hich can seat eight people connected above to a moving cable with a one-piece grip, which does not require any special springs or clamps. These grips allow chairs to be taken on and off the cable with minimal hassle.

The cubicle lifts will be completely enclosed with temperature control which keeps the passengers comfortable in both hot and cold weather. The lifts are powered by an electric engine, with a diesel engine for backup in case of a blackouts (which are fairly common in ski resorts located in remote areas)

The quote has been prepared by the Israel rep for Doppelmayr and initial estimates top $US 8,000,000. The four stations will each need a station coordinator on duty at all times of operation, there focus is on loading and disembarking which is an automated procedure. All entrance passes are bought through vending machines leaving the attendants to strictly operate boarding and disembarking. A Chief engineer is one of two full time employees managing two technical assistants and supervising operations. All together the team consistes of about approximately eight full time and ten part time employees conducting the day to day operation that are managed, supervised and secured through closed circuit live video of every phase of the entire Unit. Including payroll and other taxes, estimates for payroll are $US 300,000 anum.
