People dont necesarily consider Tzfat to be a production hub but with all of the creativity in the air it is hard to stop the slew of production developments that have taken root in the media world and especialy within the music industry with the new releases from the Tsfat local band, Prophet in the House of the Priest.

In the media section Tsfat.org reviews some cartoons and comic strips along with a children's show development but as the forefront story, Tzfat Music production is taking the headlines with many different musical artists taking stage. Sure every year Tzfat hosts the Zefat International Klezmer Music Festival with dozens and dozens of the top Israeli musicians performing literally all day and all night, and this just goes to say that the Local music is doing it again as it flourishes with the recent release of the new comers who call themselves "Prophet in the House of the Priest."

Let's back track for a second with Tzfat being the country's summer hang out for the top performing musicians during the 50's and 60's. And now, here on the holy mountain top for over half a century the spirituality thickens ever yet with one of today's hottest english speaking Israeli pop trance bands with there message of spirituality. Last month the band launched two instant hits called Sweet Sunshine and Flavor of Truth complete with music videos that create both a political and a "knock you on off your feet" stir.

The name of the band was not hard to figure out being that "Prophet in the House of the Priest," frontliners are Ron Isaiah and David Levi. The play on the prophet Isaiah and the Priestly tribe of Levi work well in a musical combination that leaves the listener dancing, even spinning breathless craving for more. One of the nice things about the two man ensemble is that there produced music talks to the soul of the listener besides the fact that it was recorded and produced in Tzfat.

David Levi, just recetly married has been a player in the musical world with ties all over Israel and the west coast. His credits stretch longer than one can imagine with more than a few hits under his belt. When asked why here and why now, David Levi responded, "because this is where the holyness can be found, this is where it reverberates in the beautiful views and fresh air. You can taste it on your lips when you go outside, Tsfat is nothing short of a slice of heaven and music made here resonates with that naturaly and distinctively."

Ron Isaiah, writes lyrics and sings the melody that is brought to another level in the production studio. Isaiah chimes in, " The words are my notes straight out of Chasidus class. I came to Tsfat to learn for a year and I would have never imagined making this type of music but David has the power of being a catalyst for whatever he touches and in my case it literaly turned to gold."

The two are working hard on their debut album expected to release this summer. Catching them in concert is a bit tricky as they only perform in small venues and as they preffer it for now completely unannounced. "It's like there getting a fantastic surprise present and when it turns out to be exactly what they were hoping for we know we are on the right track."

The two have only brought out there special flavor of song and dance in the norther part of Israel but crowds seem to fall in love instantly and as of yet radio stations can not find a way to break into any commercialization of the act, which remains as of yet unsigned. Prophet in the House of the Priest contineus to please and is promising fans to soon be playing in the Center of Israel in both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and one confidential source says that they will make it the US for a mini tour in August hitting NY, LA and Miami to promote the release of their debut album.

Tsfat.org invites you to enjoy the recently released videos and stay tuned for what will surely be more ground breaking sound from this brand new artist.
