Many people believe that the Ron Hotel is the best choice for accomodations on the holy mountain in Tzfat. The Ron hotel has a limmited 50 spacious suites equiped with twin Husband and Wife beds and a guest rooms which the hotel provide extra beds and cots if necessary. The luxury suite bathrooms come with both a hot tub and a shower making oh so easy to bathe the children after a day out on the mountain.
Guests find the lounge area just off the dining room where they can enjoy their time there relaxing in the very comfortable lounge chairs and sofas. The seating is arranged in groups so that one feels the semi private comfort that allows for shmooz time to sit and chat not noticing the day floating by.
During the summer season the hotel is open for all but in the winter off season th hotel is usually open only for groups with breakfast serving up a traditional Israeli buffet style, between 8.00am and 10.00am. Evening meals are also available by arrangement for groups staying in the hotel during the week throughout the year. ONly during the main summer vacation season the restaurant dining room is open for evening meals for all individual guests.
On Shabbos throughout the year, the dining room really comes into its own. With wauiter service on Friday night, groups can enjoy a real Shabbat atmosphere, eating good traditional food and singing to their hearts content. Sabbath lunch is served after services, and a third meal is available in the late afternoon.
Ammenities include three small convention halls available for groups. The two larger hall hold between up to 180 people and the smaller more intimate room, holds up to 40 people. These rooms are generally used for private dinners that are booked for groups and or family functions.
When the pool is open there are separate swimming hours for men and women.
Coming into Tsfat, guest that are driving should pass the bus station and go up Jerusalem Street towards the circlular turn around turning left onto Palmach Street just before the Palatine building. Then continue along Palmach Street until reaching Hativat Yiftah Street for a right turn right, passing the Citadel on your right drive straight on to the entrance of the Ron Hotel just ahead.
Suite rates run from 350 nis per couple per night in the winter to 550 nis per couple per night in the high summer season, breakfast buffet included.
Shabbos meals cost a moderate 90 nis per person per meal and the weekday evening meals are 80 nis per person. Group rates available upon request.
